A group of eight to Lieutenant Colonel C. Younghusband, who served in the Zulu rebellion in 1906, with the 2nd Dragoon Guards in 1914, and with the African Colonial Forces Section in the Second World War

Lt. Colonel C. Younghusband was born in 1887 and served as a Trooper with the Natal Police during the 1906 rebellion. He is shown as Lieutenant, Indian Reserve of Officers Cavalry in April 1914, and was appointed to the 2nd Dragoon Guards on 17 August 1914. He proceeded to France on 21 September 1914, earning the 1914 Star and bar. He was mentioned in despatches on 30 October 1917, his unit shown as Aden Light Cavalry. During the Second World War he held a Regular Army Emergency Commission under the African Colonial Forces Section, East Africa. He was mentioned in despatches on 22 June 1942, Commands & Staff, Middle East, and was promoted Lieutenant Colonel in 1944.
