1914 Star (7864 Cpl. E. L. Carter, Calcutta Vols.) together with Bronze Memorial Plaque (Edwin Leo Carter) good very fine and rare (2)

This 1914 Star is apparently unique to the Calcutta Volunteers. Corporal E. L. Carter was serving with the Calcutta Volunteer Rifles when he died on 25 May 1916. He is buried in Basra War Cemetery, Iraq. Sold with confirmation and copies from the medal rolls.
