Cabul 1842 (Pte. Jas. Kemp, 13th P.A.L.I.) regimentally impressed naming, fitted with replacement steel clip and bar suspension, a little polished and some edge bruising, otherwise nearly very fine
James Kemp, a labourer from Bethersden, Kent, enlisted on 5 May, 1838, and joined his regiment in India on 10 May, 1840. He was entitled to medals for the Defence of Jellalabad and Cabul. The Muster Rolls note that he died on 12 September, 1850, his due pay and “2 Silver Medals” being forwarded to his Father.
