Patrolman John Loughran was decorated with the N.Y.P.D. Order of Merit ,at the 1921 Police Parade, for the capture of a burglar who fired two shots at him when he caught him robbing a jewelry store on Amsterdam Avenue, 15 June, 1920. Sold with further research including copies of contemporary newspaper reports.
