British War and Victory Medals (Lieut. A. H. Ball) Royal Sussex Regiment, together with an original watercolour of his grave, extremely fine (2)

Lieutenant Arnold Harding Ball, 5th (Territorial) Battalion (Cinque Ports), Royal Sussex Regiment, attached 2nd Battalion, was killed in action at Quinchy on 9 April, 1918. He was educated at the City of London School and was called to the Bar in 1910. He received his commission in the Royal Sussex Regiment in December, 1915, and went to the front in September, 1916, remaining in the fighting area on the Somme and in Flanders until he was killed while on duty in the trenches by a German shell. Sold with further research and a cap badge.
