Dr Chompret (†1956), stomatologist, had a lifelong interest in porcelain and was a former president of the Society of Friends of the Musée National de Céramique. Important Iznik pottery from his collection was auctioned by Pescheteau-Badin Godeau & Leroy in Paris, 28 February 2000
