An award sponsored by the Aviation Militaire Française. Following a Government directive to restructure the French aviation industry in 1933, the engineering and aviation pioneers Louis Renault (1877-1944) and René Caudron (1884-1959) pooled their resources, employing 2,000 people at their aviation plants at Billancourt and Issy. It is suggested that the type of aircraft depicted on the plaque is the Rafale
