Sergeant Edward Hennessy was born in Dowerstown, County Kilkenny, Ireland, and enlisted in the 44th Regiment in 1803, aged 18 years. He served in Captain Jacob’s company at Waterloo and was discharged on medical grounds in 1817. Sold with copy discharge papers.
