Robert Costigan was born in Kilmore, Co. Armagh, and enlisted at Armagh for the 56th Regiment on 12 April, 1842. He served 21 years and 227 days in the 56th and a further 15 years on the permanent staff of the Essex Rifles Militia. Sold with copy discharge papers.
