M.M. London Gazette 17 June, 1919. Sold with details from the Regimental History that show the award to be for the attack on the Salines-Steenbeck Road at Ledeghem on 14 October, 1918. With the exception of a comparatively small share in an attack between St. Louis and Ooteghem, on the way from the River Lys to the River Scheldt, on 22nd October, the fight near Ledeghem proved to be the last in which the 1st battalion took part.
