The Indian Navy medal roll would appear to have been haphazardly compiled for men aboard vessels employed on the river Ganges. Efforts over the years to find rolls for a number of medals named to various ships, including the five listed here and others known to exist, have proved fruitless. In most cases only one or two medals are known to these ships.
