Thomas Cromwell, 1538, a plated cast and chased electrotype of a medal, unsigned, bust left in cap, rev. armorial shield of Cromwell within Garter, 50mm (MI 39/32). Weak in centre of reverse, otherwise about very fine, rare (£100-150)

Thomas Cromwell (c.1490-1540); Chancellor of the Exchequer, 1533; Master of the Rolls, 1534; Keeper of the Privy Seal, 1536; Earl of Essex and Lord Chamberlain, 1539; advised Henry to marry Anne of Cleves, for which he was disgraced and beheaded, 28 July 1540
