A.R.R.C. London Gazette 13 September 1945:

‘This Nursing Officer of pleasing personality has served with 15 ICCS, 23 ICCS & 25 ICCS in the Arakan since February 44. She has shown exceptional zeal and ability in carrying our her duties and by her energy has contributed very greatly to raising the morale of patients in the unit.’

Elizabeth Maisie Miller was a native of Plungar, Nottinghamshire, and served during the Second War as a Senior Sister in the Territorial Army Nursing Service. She served with 15, 23 and 25 Indian Casualty Clearing Stations during the Arakan operations. Miller was appointed a Junior Commander, Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Nursing Service in February 1949.
