101st (Royal Bengal Fusiliers) Officer’s Full Dress Bear Skin c. 1866-81, a very fine example, the hat with strong wicker lining, black leather sweat band, gilt brass graduated chin chain with leather and velvet lining, to the front a gilt and silver fused grenade, the ball overlaid with a profusion of battle honours on laurel sprays, in the centre in silver a crowned strap ‘Royal Bengal Fusiliers’ and in the centre floreated ‘101’, to the left side a white over green cut feather plume, together with its black metal carrying tin, very good overall condition, the tin repainted black overall (2)
