Richard William Ettery was born in Ancoats, Manchester, Lancashire, and attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps. He served with the 4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 20 December 1914, and was killed in action during the Battle of Frezenberg on 10 May 1915. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.

Thomas Edward Hanson was born in Marylebone, London, and attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps. He served with the 4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 20 December 1914, and died of wounds received during the Battle of Frezenberg on 16 May 1915. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.

John Morris was born in Hampstead, Middlesex, and attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps on 23 July 1901, having previously served in the 7th (Militia) Battalion, K.R.R.C. He served with the 4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 21 December 1914, before being posted with the 27th Division to Salonika on 25 November 1915. He served there until being posted back to France as part of 50th Division on 27 June 1918. He was killed in action during the Battles of the Hindenburg Line on 3 October 1918, and is buried in Templeux-le-Guerard British Cemetery, France.

Frederick Arthur Burrell, a native of Edmonton, Middlesex, attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps and served with the 7th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 13 August 1915, as part of 14th Division. He died of wounds received during the Battle of Flers on 26 September 1916, and is buried in St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France.
