Walter Cornell Asbridge served during the Great War as a Trooper with the Lincolnshire Yeomanry, and subsequently served as an Inspector in the Lincoln City Special Constabulary. In civilian life he worked for the engineering company Ruston & Hornsby Ltd. in Lincoln for over 50 years from 1911.

Sold together with a large portrait photograph of the recipient in the uniform of a Trooper with the Lincolnshire Yeomanry.
