Sold with original letter from Airwork Services Ltd to the recipient, dated 20 December 1977, confirming award of the As Sumood Medal ‘to certain civilians working in Oman during the period from 23rd May 1965 to 2nd December 1976,’ by decree of His Majesty the Sultan Qaboos Bin Sa’id. McNair served in the Royal Navy (Fleet Air Arm) from 2 October 1947 to 21 January 1970.
