William Kavanagh, a native of Liverpool, enlisted in May 1915 and served with the 6th (Service) Battalion, The Prince of Wales’s Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment), landing at Gallipoli on 24 November 1915. He was treated aboard H.M. Hospital Ship Assaye on 8 December after suffering shrapnel wound to the thigh. He was subsequently transported to Malta where he died of acute bronchitis on 17 December 1915. He is buried in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.

Joseph James Harvey served with the 6th (Service) Battalion, The Prince of Wales’s Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment), landing at Gallipoli on 22 November 1915. He later transferred to the 1st Garrison Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, serving with them in India.

George Davies enlisted on 4 September 1914 and served on the Western Front with the 7th (Service) Battalion, The Prince of Wales’s Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment). He was later posted to the 8th (Service) Battalion and was discharged from the army on 6 December 1917, no longer physically fit for active service.

Robert Davies served on the Western Front with the 1/5th Battalion, The Prince of Wales’s Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment).

Robert Hampson enlisted on 28 September 1914 and served as a Colour Sergeant, then Company Quarter Master Sergeant with the 2/4th Battalion, The Prince of Wales’s Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment). He landed in France on 16 February 1917 and was invalided back to the U.K. after being gassed on 12 May 1918.

Edward John Brown served with The Prince of Wales’s Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment) before transferring to the Labour Corps.

Henry Rowan enlisted on 2 September 1914 and served overseas with the 8th (Service) Battalion, The Prince of Wales’s Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment). He later transferred to the 53rd Training Reserve Battalion and was discharged from the army on 5 February 1918.

Bernard Heaney served with the 9th (Service) Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment, landing in France on 4 September 1915. The battalion then moved to Salonika, arriving 5 November. He later transferred to the Bedfordshire Regiment, finishing his service with the Labour Corps.

Herbert Nutter served as an acting Colour Sergeant with the 6th (Service) Battalion, King’s Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment), landing in Mesopotamia on 3 May 1915.
