William Clark was born in Aberdeen, in April 1881, and joined the Royal Marine Light Infantry in November 1900. His subsequent service included with H.M.S. Majestic, August 1914- June 1915, and H.M.S. Fox, October 1915 - September 1918 (entitled to British War Medal, and awarded L.S. & G.C. in February 1918). Clark was discharged, 3 April 1921.
