Daniel Freeman was born at Cholsey, Wallingford in Berkshire in 1841 and enlisted into the Regiment in 1859. His overseas service included Malta 1859-63, Gibraltar 1863-65, Canada 1865-67 and India 1873-81. He was discharged on completion of his second period of service in 1881. His only recorded medal was the L.S.& G.C. but he may well have been entitled to the Canada General Service Medal. Sold with copied service papers.
