D.C.M. Recommendation submitted to the Queen on 9 November 1898 and announced in the London Gazette 15 November 1898, and in Army Order No. 153 of September 1899. Awarded for the battle of Omdurman, 2 September 1898, one of eight D.C.M.’s to the Seaforths for this battle.
