D.S.M. London Gazette 27 January 1942: ‘Seaman Alfred Henry Thomas Clark, H.M.S. Acacia. For bravery when his ship was attacked by enemy aircraft.’ This was the only award under this individual gazette heading.

The balloon ship
Acacia was attacked by enemy aircraft on 30 September 1941, whilst on convoy protection duties in the English Channel. The recommendation for this award has not yet been traced.
