Kensington Volunteer Infantry Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c1803-1814, a most rare example, the burnished gilt oval back plate with a single ‘dead’ gilt mount being a crowned oval with fretted centre and displaying the Lion of England on a torse, statant guardant; the oval with attached sprays of laurel and acanthus leaves, one hook and two stud fasteners with original leather liner and period inscription, ‘Kensington Volunteers 1804’, very fine condition £800-£1,000
