James Miller was born in Glasgow and enlisted for the 92nd Foot at Stirling on 17 October 1857, aged 18, a shoemaker by trade. He served at Gibraltar for 107 days, and in the East Indies for 13 years 306 days. He was discharged at Aberdeen on 7 October 1878, this being his only medal entitlement. Sold with copied discharge papers.
