Percy Thomas Lang was born in Braunton, Devon. He served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment in the French theatre of war from 6 November 1914. Lang was killed in action on the Western Front, 18 December 1914. On the latter date 2 companies of the Battalion carried out an attack on the Moated Grange in the Neuve Chappelle area, suffering casualties of 3 officers killed, 5 wounded and 121 N.C.O.s and other ranks killed, missing or wounded. 27 Germans were captured during the attack, and many were wounded or killed.
Private Lang does not currently appear on the CWGC website, however, he is listed in Soldiers Died in The Great War 1914-19.
