Memorial Plaque (2) (Lawrence Duckworth; Harold Foxton) both in card envelopes of issue, very fine (2) £60-£80
Lawrence Duckworth was born at Collyhurst, Manchester, and attested for the Lancashire Fusiliers at Bury, Lancashire. He served with the 12th Battalion during the Great War in Salonika, and was killed in action on 14 September 1916. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Doiran Memorial, Greece.
Harold Foxton was born in Preston, Lancashire, and attested there for the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 13 April 1917. He is buried in the London Rifle Brigade Cemetery, Belgium.
