Mary (1553-1554), Fine Sovereign of Thirty Shillings, MDLIII [1553], mm. pomegranate, Queen enthroned holding sceptre and orb, portcullis below, rev. square topped shield within Tudor rose, 15.44g/11h (SCBI Schneider 704, same obv. die; N 1956; S 2488). Letter A faintly scratched on robes, otherwise extremely fine, well centred and with a very clear portrait, very rare (£8,000-10,000)
