A Holland & Holland Wooden Leatherbound Cartridge Case. A very fine late 19th century example, 46.5cm x 33cm x 13cm. The interior fitted with six broad leather straps, the red baize lined lid with a large printed trade label for Holland & Holland 98 New Bond Street London and featuring the Arms of the late Prince Consort. The exterior leather casing with stout brass corner-pieces, brass lock and plate and brass reinforced carrying handle. The lid with an inserted leather panel, ‘W. V. Lumsden Argyle & Sutherland Highlds.’, very good condition £300-£400
