The Douglas Bank Company, £1, 9 December 1811, serial number 312, signature of James Dove, allegorical maiden in panel at left, value low centre, split on right side and rejoined with tape, edge tears and missing part of lower right corner, otherwise intact and good, extremely rare. This note is illustrated in Clay’s Manx Coinage, 1869.
