The following details are taken from records at the Department of Trade and Industry (Marine Division):

The Annie Park, a schooner of Barrow, went ashore at the foot of St Govan’s Head on 2 January 1906. Clader descended the cliff to reach the wreck. He crawled along a sloping ledge of rock 2 feet wide at considerable risk owing to a strong gale. Calder reached two survivors and assisted to send them to the top of the cliffs by means of lifelines and cliff ladder apparatus.

George Calder was awarded the Silver Medal and £2, whilst Thomas Grills, another Boatman, received the Bronze Medal and £1. These awards were approved by H.M. The King, but were presented by the Tenby District Officer of H.M. Coastguard. Only 68 silver and 74 bronze medals of this type were awarded.
