Ernest Burnett enlisted on 9 December 1912 into the 1/9th Battalion, Liverpool Regiment, and was discharged due to wounds on 30 November 1918, whilst serving with the 20th (4th Pals) Battalion, Liverpool Regiment.

J. E. Alty served with the 13th Battalion, Liverpool Regiment, aswell as the K.S.L.I., and Royal Engineers.

George Stretton served with ‘A’ Company, 17th (1st Pals) Battalion, Liverpool Regiment. He went to France and Flanders with the original contingent on 7 November 1915 and was wounded by shrapnel in the left leg and chin on 10 July 1916, and as a result was evacuated to England. On recovery from his wounds he returned to active service in France with the 1st Battalion, Liverpool Regiment.

20059 Private Frederick Downey was born, lived and enlisted in Liverpool. He went to France with the original contingent on 7 November 1915, and was killed in action in France and Flanders on 18 March 1917, whilst serving with the 20th (4th Pals)Battalion, Liverpool Regiment.
