85th (The King’s Light Infantry) Regiment, an extremely fine and scarce officer’s Albert pattern shako plate (1844-1855) gilt star pattern back plate with further gilt overlays, centrally a floreate coiled bugle horn with ‘85’ within the coil, demi wreaths of laurel and palm in surround, four rays of the back plate inscribed with the battle honours ‘FUENTES D’ONOR, NIVE, BLADENSBURG, PENINSULA (KKp80), excellent overall condition (1) £550-650
