D. Gow was residing in King’s Road, Chelsea at the time his medals were despatched.

Lieutenant T.G. Adams, H.M.S.
Giang Bee, Malayan Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, was killed in action, 13 February 1942. His name is commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon.

Medals attributed to Adams sold with a handwritten note from his sister - Mary Cunningham, ‘Oldest brother Thomas Grant Adams - London Policeman and Police Prosecutor in Shanghai. Joined Royal Malayan Navy V.R. He was Lieutenant (Interpretor) and was killed by Japs whilst crossing from Java to Singapore on ship “Gang Bee” (sic).’
