Kenneth Hunt enlisted in the Royal Air Force as a Halton Apprentice in August 1944. After the war he became a Cadet Navigator with service counting from 15 January 1950. Commissioned into the General Duties Branch (Flying) as a Pilot Officer (Navigator) in June 1951, he was promoted to Flying Officer in June 1952, and to Flight Lieutenant in December 1955. He transferred to the reserve in January 1962.
