M.B.E. London Gazette 2 January 1933: ‘Robert Sweeney, Esq., Superintendent, Central Division, Glasgow City Police’

Robert Sweeney was a long serving member of the Glasgow Police Force, rising to Superintendent and being awarded the M.B.E. in the 1933 New Year’s Honours’ List. He died on 3 October 1940, aged 66.
