Alexander Knight was the son of Mr and Mrs A. Knight of 120 Leyton Road, Newtown, Stratford, London. He served during the Great War with the 1/7th (City of London) Battalion, London Regiment, and was killed in action aged 19 on the Western Front, 25 July 1918.
Private Knight is buried in the Contay British Cemetery, Somme, France.
