D.C.M. London Gazette 1 January 1918; citation published 17 April 1918:
‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty and consistent good work during a long period. He rendered valuable service during several important engagements, and has always set a magnificent example to his men.’
Frank Dickinson was born in Heaton Park, Lancashire, and and attested for the Middlesex Regiment at Bury, Lancashire. He served with the 13th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 1 September 1915, and died of wounds on 25 March 1918. He is buried in Rosieres British Cemetery, France.
