Lieutenant William George Goldsack, Machine Gun Corps, served with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force, May 1917 to October 1918, serving in British, German and Portuguese East Africa, Nyasaland and Northern Rhodesia, 2 February 1916 to April 1917 (War Services of Officers of the Army 1920 refers). He attained the rank of Lieutenant on 1 March 1917. Only 34 Territorial War Medals to officers of the M.G.C.
