42nd The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) a good quality officer’s shoulder belt plate c1850-1881 the rectangular matt gilt back plate with a raised burnished rim overlaid with silver and gilt mounts (Parkyn p211); together with a post 1881 Sergeant’s glengarry/bonnet badge white metal back star with copper gilt overlays and silver ‘42’ central numerals (KK497), a very fine officer’s silver plated and gilt KC glengarry badge (1937-52) and a similar badge in cast silver plate and poor quality ‘copper gilt’ and white metal overlays, some gilt loss to the first item otherwise good overall condition (4) £350-400
