Charles I (1625-1649), Oxford mint, Halfcrown, 1644, mm. rosette and Oxford plume on obv. only, Briot’s horseman, Oxford plume behind, grassy ground line below, large Oxford plume between two smaller above Declaration, date in large figures between pellets, ox below, between rosettes, five pellets before legend, 12.26g/9h (Bull 611/22; Morr. B –; cf. SCBI Brooker 905; N 2433; S 2966). On a small clipped flan, fine, reverse better but double-struck, extremely rare £600-£800
