Elizabeth I (1558-1603), First issue, Penny, 1558, mm. lis, bust 1H, wire-line inner circles, small shield, reads e d g rosa sine spina 1558, 0.42g/4h (BCW LS-1:LS-a1; N 1988; S 2554). Good fine, reverse a little better, extremely rare and the only dated Penny of the monarch; only 3 specimens known in 2001 £600-£800
