Netherlands East Indies, Banjarmasin, a Netherlands, William I, 10 Gulden, 1840, obv. countermarked with Banjar in Malay script in oval (cf. KM. 7, footnote). Extremely fine and extremely rare, believed the only known specimen (£900-1,200)

Noble Numismatics Auction 73 (Melbourne), 8-10 July 2003, lot 1908.

The only other reference to a gold coin with the Banjar countermark is that relating to a Spanish 4 pesos (KM. p.723)
