18th Century Tokens, Ayr, Col. William Fullarton, Restrike Pattern Halfcrown, 1799, in white metal, probably for M. Young from dies by J. Milton, bust of the Prince of Wales left, rev. cruciform shields, edge plain, 8.90g/12h (Stainton 31A; Seaby ST 297; DH 5 bis I). Light rust marks, extremely fine with brilliant fields, rare (£200-250)

The unbroken label of difference on the impaled Scottish arms would suggest that this piece was made when Milton’s dies were in the possession of Matthew Young (cf. Dykes, BNJ 2002, pp.155-7)
