Alfred Charles Davey, a Native American of the Six Nations of the Grand River, Ontario, Canada, was born at Six Nations on 28 August 1887, the son of Young Davey, and attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Fore at Caledonia, Ontario, on 1 December 1915. He served as a Sapper with the 107th Pioneer Battalion, Canadian Engineers during the Great War on the Western Front from 18 May 1917, and suffered gas poisoning in August 1918. He died on 8 May 1946.
