Private G. S. Hunt served with the Portsmouth battalion, Royal Marine Light Infantry and was entitled to the bar to his 1914 Star. He was captured at Antwerp on 20 November 1914 and was held prisoner of war at Doeberitz, Germany for the duration of the war.
