Mate Cecil Merton Masters was born July 1899, made 76 voyages in various Merchant Navy vessels between November 1915 and March 1949. He passed his Certificate of Competency as Master of a Home Trade Passenger ship December 1925. His Second War Medals were sent to his widow after his death in April 1949.
