M.I.D. London Gazette 24 June 1943 ‘In recognition of gallant and distinguished services in the Middle East during the period 1 May 1942-22 October 1942.’
Lance Corporal A. J. T. Bright was later taken prisoner of war and held at Stalag 8B, Teschen in Poland. It is thought that Sapper Bright died whilst in captivity.
