£2,600

Cambridgeshire, Newmarket, Spence’s Halfpenny, 1793, stag lying under tree, rev. snail on river-bank, tree and bridge in background, edge plain, 9.06g/6h (DH 35). Usual die cracks and flaws on obverse, otherwise extremely fine and attractively patinated, extremely rare (£400-600)
