Evan Roberts was born at Dolgelley and attested there for the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action near Loos on 6 July 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial and also on the memorial in Corfe Castle Parish Church and recreation ground memorial gates.
Idwal Davies attested for the Royal Welsh Fusiliers and served with the 25th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front. He was killed in action on 19 August 1918, and is buried in St Venant-Robecq Road British Cemetery, France.
