St. Ruan Robertson Kerr-Clark was appointed Temporary Lieutenant in the 7th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders on 27 September 1914 and Temporary Captain on 28 October 1914. He was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 25 Sepember 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
